This financial aid initiative of the California Student Aid Commission provides federal- and state-funded grants that help current or former California foster youth pay for college or career technical training. Awards are subject to yearly fund availability.
Funds are distributed on July 1 of the award year to qualifying students under age 22 who have financial need.
This resource could be instrumental for programs serving eligible foster youth participants. Funding could also be used to help target and identify aid opportunities for populations particularly susceptible to challenges with accessing aid.
