English Language Learners and Immigrant Workforce Navigator Pilot Program

The goal of this initiative is to promote increased access to public workforce development services, create and improve the workforce development program structure and availability, and provide supportive services within the workforce system for California’s English Language Learner Population.

Workforce navigators could use a region’s full complement of adult education, postsecondary education, human services, and philanthropic initiatives in their work to build an integrated approach to supporting immigrant integration with education and employment services.

WIOA title I, II, III, and IV along with AEP, Strong Workforce, CalFresh, and more could be important for navigators to understand and leverage in their work.
