This workforce development initiative of the California Workforce Development Board and the Employment Development Department will fund projects and partnerships to create and prototype innovative strategies that bridge education and workforce gaps for targeted populations, and initial implementation of promising models and practices in workforce system service delivery infrastructure.

The Workforce Accelerator Fund seeks to create new models for service delivery and funding alignment that can be replicated across the state and tailored to regional needs.

While highly specialized to specific regions, Workforce Accelerator projects could be a catalyst for alignment between existing WIOA, human services, and community based strategies for serving individuals with barriers to education and employment.
